A full-time Instructor and accompaniment faculty in Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, NUS, Liu Jia has accompanied students, Artist Faculties and visiting artists in many recitals and concerts, and worked with several world- renowned musicians and visiting professors in the recitals and master-classes including Vilmos Szabadi, Cho-Liang Lin, Renaud Capuçon, Pierre Amoyal, Midori Koto, Imai Nobuko, James Galway, Kim Walker, Barry Tuckwell.

Liu Jia has worked as an accompanist with Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts and Singapore Lyric Opera, among others.
Active in the chamber scene, Liu performs regularly in the SSO chamber series and founded the “Feng Piano Trio” with other two SSO musicians in 2001. As a special guest, Liu Jia has collaborated with local and international musicians in performances such as HSBC Youth Excellence Initiative Awards Ceremony, with President S.R. Nathan as a special guest; Japan-ASAN Cultural Exchange Program “Ensemble Series”; BUFFET CRAMPON showcase in Singapore; the First National Clarinet Competition in Singapore; Flute Festival 2010 at YSTCM, as well as SSO special concert-Tribute for S.R.Nathan (Ex-President). And Performance tour in Beijing, Shanghai, Taiwan and cities in Malaysia.

As a soloist, she has performed with Singapore Symphony of Orchestra as well as major orchestras in China, including the China Film Symphony Orchestra and Beijing Symphony Orchestra. She also performs regularly on a freelance basis with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra in concerts and recordings. At age of 12, Liu Jia entered the Middle School Attach to Central Conservatory of Music, China studied with Prof. ZHENG Li Qin, WU Ying and LING Yuan. She furthered her education in the Piano Department of Central Conservatory of Music with Prof. GUO Zhi Hong as a scholarship student at 1993. After received the Bachelor Degree, she enrolled 2 years course of Master Degree without sitting for the entrance examinations for rewarding her excellent results from 1997 to 1998.
