FIRST ROUNDS
25–30 Jan 2026 | YST Conservatory Concert Hall
Candidates play the following two sessions:
Session 1 (1 – 3 Dec, each up to 35 mins)
Candidates play both the following:A complete sonata for solo violin by J.S. Bach;
A complete sonata for solo violin by E. Ysaÿe from Op. 27.
Session 2 (3 – 6 Dec, each up to 40 mins)
Candidates play all of the following:A complete sonata by W.A. Mozart, L. van Beethoven (except Sonata No. 9), or F. Schubert (except Fantasie);
An original work by F. Kreisler for violin and piano or solo violin;
A piece of their own choice that has not been performed in previous rounds.

SEMI-FINALS
1–2 Feb 2026 | YST Conservatory Concert Hall
Candidates play a recital of up to 60 minutes in total performance time, which includes all of the following:
A complete sonata from the designated repertoire list (by B. Bartók, J. Brahms, J. Corigliano, C. Debussy, G. Fauré, C. Franck, L. Janácek, W. Lutoslawski, F. Poulenc, S. Prokofiev, M. Ravel, C. Saint-Saëns, R. Schumann, R. Strauss or I. Stravinsky;
Kris Foundation Commissioned Work: Before Daybreak《孤燈挑盡》, composed by Koh Cheng Jin (duration: 6’);
A piece of their own choice that has not been performed in previous rounds.
The Commissioned Work and Best Performer of Commissioned Work Prize are enabled by the Kris Foundation.

Candidates play a complete piano quartet by W.A. Mozart with SIVC guest artists Albert Tiu (piano), Miguel da Silva (viola) and Wang Zihao (cello).

GRAND FINALS
7 Feb 2026 | Esplanade Concert Hall
Candidates play a complete concerto from the designated repertoire list (by B. Bartók, L. van Beethoven, J. Brahms, F, Mendelssohn, S. Prokofiev, D. Shostakovich, J. Sibelius or P.I. Tchaikovsky), together with the Singapore Symphony Orchestra conducted by Joshua Tan.
